This was contained in a release from the council chairman signed by the secretary to the local government council, Pastor Good luck Unuawvorho.
According to the statement, the new management committee are to be head by Mr. Ubogu Emmanuel, Head of Revenue, Ughelli North LGC, Pastor Aghogho Omotor, Chairman Market Committee, Mrs. Queen Odeimor , Local Government Market Mistress (Main Market) and Mrs. Ochuko Erah – Local Government Market (Foodstuff).
He further said, the committee will oversee administration, revenue collection, and management of the markets, and that traders and stakeholders must comply with the directive.
The statement warned that non-compliance will be dealt with according to the law.
