The Leader of the People Democratic Party (PDP), in Orogun Federal Ward 1 and 2.in Ughelli North LGA, of Delta State, Hon. (Chief), Agwa Sunday Obotemuoyovwi has called on members of PDP in the wards to participate on the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), continuous voters registration card and the E-Registration Exercise so as to revalidate their membership card.
Hon. Agwa Sunday Obotemuoyovwi who was the Deputy Majority leader of the 7th Assembly of Ughelli North Legislative Arm under the platform of the People Democratic (PDP), made this called in Orogun Ughelli North LGA, recently while briefing newsmen over the development.
According to Hon. Agwa the INEC voter’s card Registration Exercise was compulsory to each and every member of both wards especially those who have not been opportune to register for their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs). he said, “the exercise is also to ensure authenticity of member, and the PVC is a power and a criteria for one to be an eligible voters. Therefore, urging the people of Orogun Federal Wards and others to participate for the growth and development of PDP.
Hon. Agwa also hinted that the INEC voters continuous registration exercise is also aimed at increasing the numbers of voters in each and every wards in the State calling on the people of the wards to take the exercise serious.
He said, “the voter’s card registration exercise is for all eligible persons especially who are up to the Age of 18 years and above, adding that the Permanent Voters Card (PVCs), is the power to vote and to be voted for, emphasizing that, any person who misplace his or her own or got spoilt in one particular way or the other is to go and register to get another one. Hon. Agwa stated.
Speaking further, the PDP leader submitted that the voter’s card is one’s Civic right and responsibility and at the same time, a divine mandate which you will use to contribute to the growth and development of our democracy through voting exercise, especially to vote out this bad government.
Hon. Agwa also emphasized that the INEC voters card registration is very important to us because the voter’s card is a call for one’s voice, a call for one’s vote and at the same time a call for one’s destiny, noting that, for us not to miss out this opportunity, l urged everyone of us especially the people of Orogun Federal Ward 1 and 2 to go and register especially for those who have not registered before.
Speaking further, Hon. Chief Agwa used this medium to call on the members of PDP in both wards and the State at large to remain committed to the party at all times, adding that PDP will surely bounced back come 2027.
