The member representing Oshimili South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Bridget Anyafulu has launched two programs for her constituents to consolidate on the MORE Agenda of the governor Sheriff Oborevwori led administration.
The programs are the Sustainable Micro Economic Empowerment Scheme (SMEES) and the Sustainable Health Insurance Transformative Inclusion Initiative (SHIFT-I).
The programs were flagged up in Asaba, the state capital, during her annual town hall meeting.
At the event, over 1,000 vulnerable people were enrolled in the Delta State Health Insurance Scheme, giving them free healthcare access for a year.
Also, about 400 micro-business owners also benefited from the SMEES program, and people with disabilities received assistive aids.
Hon. Anyafulu thanked the people of Oshimili South for their support and promised to continue leading with transparency and accountability.
She said her priorities include education, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, peace, and security.
According to her, she has provided educational materials to over 620 schools, sponsored competitions, and paid fees for underprivileged students.
She has also built healthcare centers, provided land for a secondary school, and attracted infrastructure to Oshimili South.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, who praised Hon. Anyafulu’s work. She was given a Health Insurance Ambassador Award by the Delta State Contributory Health Commission.
