The Executive Chairman, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has called for synergy among security agencies operating within the Council Area.
He also stated that security is everybody’s business and that, for effective and efficient security coverage, all security agencies must work together as a team, especially in intelligence gathering.
The Chairman made this appeal at the monthly Peace and Security committee meeting with traditional rulers and heads of all security agencies at Ozoro headquarters of Isoko North Local Government.
The Council Boss further said that the Isoko North Peace and Security committee meeting have resolved that all former vigilante members across the communities in Isoko North should submit their uniforms and other security gadgets to the nearest police station.
He also stated that all unauthorised security outfits or groups operating in any disguise within the local government are disbanded with immediate effect.
And that no Vigilantee group is allowed to block any road without the presence of Police officer among them.
Elder Ogorugba further warned communities leaders to desist from erecting speed breakers on government roads without the ministry of works approval.
He thanked all community leaders and security agencies for their sacrifices in ensuring lasting peace and Unity in Isoko North Local Government.
The Isoko North Council Boss further said his administration is committed in consolidating the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori Governor of Delta State.
