Support for former Delta State Commissioner for Lands, Surveys and Urban Development, Fred Majemite, is growing across Delta Central Senatorial District as communities and traditional kingdoms call on him to contest the upcoming Senate election.
In recent days, groups from several communities in the district have openly declared their support for Majemite, urging him to step forward and represent the people at the National Assembly.
Community leaders and stakeholders who spoke during separate gatherings said their appeal is based on the need for strong and purposeful representation for Delta Central.
According to them, Majemite has the experience and leadership qualities required to effectively speak for the region at the federal level.
They also noted that his years of public service and close relationship with grassroots communities have earned him respect and trust among the people.
Supporters added that Delta Central needs a senator who will focus on key issues such as infrastructure development, youth empowerment and economic growth.
They believe Majemite has the capacity to champion these priorities if elected.
Although Majemite has not officially declared his intention to run, the growing endorsements from communities and traditional institutions indicate increasing pressure on him to join the race and respond to the calls from across the district.
