The Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Joel Onowakpor, has called on his constituents and the people of Delta State to embrace the spirit of love, unity, and sacrifice as Christians celebrate the Easter season.
In his Easter message released on Sunday, the lawmaker emphasized the significance of the season, describing it as a time for deep reflection on the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, and compassion as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
Senator Onowakpor urged the people to remain steadfast in their faith despite prevailing socio-economic challenges, noting that the resurrection of Christ symbolizes victory over adversity and offers renewed hope for a better future.
“Easter reminds us that no matter the trials we face, there is always hope for renewal and triumph.
I encourage my constituents and all Deltans to continue to believe in the promise of a brighter tomorrow,” he said.
The Senator further called for peaceful coexistence among communities across the state, stressing that unity remains the bedrock for sustainable development.
He appealed to citizens to support government efforts at all levels in building a more prosperous and secure society.
While reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, Onowakpor assured his constituents of continued people-oriented initiatives aimed at improving their welfare and advancing development across Delta South.
He also encouraged residents to use the festive period to extend love to the less privileged, promote harmony, and strengthen communal bonds.
“Let us use this season to uplift one another, show kindness, and work collectively towards the growth and stability of our dear state and nation,” he added.
Senator Onowakpor concluded by wishing Christians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration, praying that the blessings of the season bring healing, progress, and unity to Nigeria.
