As Christians across Nigeria celebrate the Easter season, the Chairman of Isoko North local government area, Hon Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has called on the people of Isoko North and Deltans at large to embrace the spirit of love, unity, and renewal that defines the celebration.
In his Easter message made available to newsmen, Prince Ogorugba described the season as a powerful reminder of sacrifice, hope, and victory over adversity, as exemplified by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He urged residents of Isoko North to use the occasion to strengthen communal bonds, promote peaceful coexistence, and support one another in the face of present socio-economic challenges.
“Easter is a time for deep reflection and renewed commitment to the values of compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness.
“As a people, we must rise above division and work collectively for the progress of our communities and the development of our dear state,” he said.
Prince Godwin Ogorugba further called on youths to remain law-abiding and channel their energies into productive ventures, stressing the importance of unity in achieving sustainable growth across Isoko land.
The Isoko north council chairman, Ogorugba also appealed to leaders at all levels to prioritize good governance, equity, and inclusive development, noting that such efforts would help deliver the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
While wishing Christians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration, he expressed optimism that the season would usher in renewed hope and greater opportunities for the people of Isoko North and the entire Delta State.
