Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has commissioned Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion and refilling stations in Asaba and Warri to promote cheaper and cleaner energy for transportation in Delta State.
The initiative, led by the State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Agofure Onoriode, is aimed at reducing reliance on petrol and diesel while lowering transportation costs for residents.
Speaking on the project, Agofure described it as a major boost to the state’s transport sector and a key step in advancing the administration’s MORE Agenda.
He said the new CNG stations would improve mobility, support economic activities, and provide an affordable energy alternative.
He commended Governor Oborevwori for supporting the initiative, noting that it reflects the government’s commitment to people-focused development.
Agofure added that the Ministry of Transport will continue to introduce innovative solutions to enhance transportation and drive economic growth across the state.
