The Delta State Government has commenced payment of the 2024/2025 bursary scheme for eligible students of Delta origin studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey O. Enita, disclosed this in a public service announcement issued in Asaba.
He explained that the payment is meant for students who successfully completed the required registration and verification for the bursary programme.
Dr. Enita said the bursary scheme is part of the state government’s commitment to support the education and welfare of Delta State students in higher institutions.
He commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his continued support for students and dedication to improving education in the state.
According to him, the bursary programme aligns with the governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda, which focuses on human capital development and educational advancement.
The Board also advised beneficiaries to remain focused on their studies and continue to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and pride associated with Delta State.
The bursary scheme is one of the key initiatives of the Delta State Government aimed at reducing financial pressure on students and promoting access to higher education for indigenes of the state.
