A prominent Urhobo socio-cultural group, Erhuvwun r’ Urhobo has extended warm congratulations to Prof. Sunny Awhefada, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Southern Delta University, Ozoro, Delta State, describing his emergence as a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to institutional development.
In a statement issued by the president of Erhuvwun r’ Urhobo world-wide and the leader of the Delta Congress Political Movement. Dr. Joel E.U.O. Edjutememuh (prince) JP. on behalf of the group, the leadership praised the Vice Chancellor’s impressive track record in academia and administration, noting that his career has been marked by integrity, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
According to the group, his past achievements in various capacities have consistently demonstrated his ability to transform challenges into opportunities and deliver meaningful progress.
“We are delighted by this appointment, which reflects not only his personal dedication but also the confidence reposed in his capacity to lead,” the statement read.
“His visionary approach and wealth of experience make him the right person to steer the university toward greater heights.”
Erhuvwun r’ Urhobo further commended the new Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunny Awhefada for his contributions to research development, staff welfare, and student empowerment over the years, adding that his leadership style has always been inclusive and result-oriented.
Expressing optimism about the future of the institution under his stewardship, the group assured him of its full support and cooperation in achieving his goals.
