The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the newly elected leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State chapter.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, Guwor praised the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s state congress held at the Cenotaph in Asaba.
He expressed confidence in the new State Working Committee led by Chief Solomon Arenyeka, saying their emergence reflects the trust and confidence party members across the state have in them.
Guwor noted that leadership is both an honour and a responsibility.
He urged the new executive members to promote unity, strengthen internal democracy, and work toward the shared goals of the party.
“As Speaker and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers, I understand the importance of strong and well-organized political parties in building a stable democracy,” he said.
He also stressed that healthy political competition, constructive dialogue, and people-focused policies are key to development and good governance.
The Speaker encouraged the new APC leadership to embrace inclusiveness, reconciliation, and teamwork, ensuring that all stakeholders are carried along.
He concluded by wishing the new executives a successful and impactful tenure, adding that the progress of Delta State should remain a common goal beyond political differences.
