Ozoro, Delta State — The Stakeholders of the National Union of Isoko Students (NUIS) have paid a courtesy and thank-you visit to the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, at his office in Ozoro.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Comrade Ben Uzi expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s performance since assuming office. He noted that the union has closely followed the administration’s activities and is impressed with how council resources have been used for infrastructural development, education, healthcare, human capital development, security, and other basic amenities.
According to him, projects have been executed across all wards in Isoko North, with many already completed and others ongoing. He stated that the stakeholders are proud of the Chairman’s efforts and visited to personally express their gratitude and encouragement.
Comrade Uzi further remarked that under Hon. Ogorugba’s leadership, Isoko North has witnessed significant transformation, positioning it among the best-performing local government areas in Nigeria.
He urged the Chairman to remain committed and continue consolidating on the “MORE Agenda” of the Delta State Governor for the benefit of the people of Isoko North.
In his response, Hon. Ogorugba thanked the NUIS stakeholders for the visit and kind words, describing their support as a source of motivation to do more for the people.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to an open-door policy and people-oriented programs.
The Chairman also highlighted some approved and ongoing projects, including the construction of a modern security gatehouse with dual lanes facing Southern Delta University, rehabilitation of failed portions of the Ozoro–Owhelogbo Road near Rain Oil Filling Station, construction of a health center at Isi-Emevor, and renovation of the Okpe-Isoko Market, among others.
Several dignitaries were present during the visit, including the Secretary of Isoko North LGA, Barr. Vote Umukoro; Supervisor for Environment, Comr. Joshua Alebe; SA to the Chairman, Comr. Erero Oloku; HRM Queen Fejiro Ogbogbo; Dr. Enaroseha Eribo; Comr. Daniel Idoghor; Comr. Bendel Orumor; Comr. Spiro Odu; and Pastor Ujerukevwe, among others.
