Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Obi of Owa Kingdom, Emmanuel Efeizomor II, as the revered monarch celebrates his 88th birthday.
In a message released in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described the monarch as one of the most respected traditional rulers in Delta State who has contributed greatly to the growth of his kingdom and the state.
Governor Oborevwori said Obi Efeizomor II has shown wisdom, dedication and strong leadership in guiding the Owa Kingdom over the years. He noted that the monarch has also played an important role in promoting peace and development in the state.
The governor commended the royal father for preserving the culture and traditions of the Owa people, describing him as a father figure and a source of inspiration to many.
He also acknowledged the development witnessed in the Owa Kingdom during the monarch’s reign, especially in infrastructure and human capital growth, which has helped improve the community’s socio-economic progress.
Oborevwori further praised Obi Efeizomor II for his service as the immediate past Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, noting that his leadership helped strengthen unity among traditional institutions in the state.
The governor prayed for God’s continued blessings on the monarch and wished him many more years of good health, strength and wisdom in service to his people and humanity. 🙏
