Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Tuesday inaugurated Local Government and Ward chapters of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, expanding the movement’s presence across the state.
The event, held in Asaba, saw the inauguration of 25 Local Government Ambassadors and 270 Ward Ambassadors to strengthen grassroots engagement and communication of government policies.
Represented by his deputy, Monday Onyeme, the governor described the ambassadors as a vital link between government and the people, stressing that their role is to engage communities, promote unity, and deliver results.
He urged them to speak with one voice, mobilise support effectively, and highlight the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope agenda.
Former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, said the initiative is designed to deepen public engagement and counter misinformation, noting that key reforms like fuel subsidy removal have improved government revenue and development efforts.
Other party leaders, including APC Chairman Solomon Areyenka and National Vice Chairman Victor Giadom, charged the ambassadors to connect directly with people at the grassroots and promote the party’s message effectively.
State Coordinator, Funkekeme Solomon, described the inauguration as a major step in building a strong grassroots structure across all 25 local government areas and 270 wards in Delta State.
