Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on Christian leaders across Nigeria to continually pray for those in government to enable them deliver good governance.
The governor made the call on Friday, April 10, 2026, during the inauguration of the 7th National President and executive members of the Christ Gospel Church of Nigeria Incorporated in Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Area.
Represented by the Executive Director of Projects at DESOPADEC, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, Oborevwori emphasized that prayers from the church would guide government officials in carrying out their responsibilities effectively.
He also assured the church of the state government’s support, noting that their requests would be addressed in due course.
The newly inaugurated President, Rev. Dr. Abraham Ohwotuemuho, alongside other executives, was urged to foster unity within the church and prioritize spiritual leadership through prayer.
Earlier, former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor, who served as guest speaker, delivered a message titled “The Spirit on the Anointed One.”
He congratulated the new leadership and offered prayers for their success, as well as for the governor and the nation.
In his response, Rev. Ohwotuemuho thanked the Delta State Government for its support and pledged to introduce initiatives aimed at strengthening the church, expanding membership, and improving the welfare of members.
Other dignitaries at the event included religious leaders and government officials from across the state.
