The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has congratulated Prof. Samuel Aghalino on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba.
In a congratulatory message, Ogorugba described the appointment as a major recognition of academic excellence and a proud moment for the Isoko Nation.
He noted that the decision by the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to appoint Prof. Aghalino reflects confidence in the intellectual capacity and leadership ability of one of Isoko’s finest scholars.
According to the council chairman, the elevation of Prof. Aghalino to the position of Vice Chancellor will serve as a strong inspiration to Isoko youths and students across the state, encouraging them to take education seriously.
Ogorugba emphasized that academic dedication remains a powerful pathway to success, adding that the appointment reinforces the belief that education opens doors to greater opportunities and achievements in life.
He described Prof. Aghalino as an accomplished scholar and mentor who has positively impacted many lives through his research contributions and academic publications, particularly during his years of service at the University of Ilorin in Kwara State.
The chairman further stated that on behalf of his family and the people of Isoko North Local Government Area, he rejoices with Prof. Aghalino on his well-deserved appointment as Vice Chancellor of Dennis Osadebe University.
Ogorugba also expressed appreciation to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for finding an illustrious son of the Isoko Nation worthy of the prestigious appointment, noting that the decision will further strengthen the academic growth and reputation of the institution.
