The Otor-Owhe/Akiewhe-Owhe community in Isoko has officially endorsed their son, Sir Bldr. Blessing O. Obomovo, for the House of Representatives seat for Isoko North and South Federal Constituency.
The endorsement came during what was originally planned as a grand reception in his honour.
However, the event quickly turned into a strong show of support for his political ambition, as community members openly declared their backing.
Speaking at the gathering, community president, Engr. Wilfred Atunu, alongside elders and executive members, described Obomovo’s ambition as timely and in line with the desires of the people.
Prayers and blessings were also offered by Chief Ovuwoyen Avuakporie Godwin (aka Dr. Pijo), the Oletu-Logbo of Owhe Kingdom, symbolically sending him forth as he prepares for the party primaries.
In his response, Obomovo thanked the community for their overwhelming support, noting that such backing from home is both humbling and a strong motivation to succeed.
What began as a simple reception ended as a clear declaration of support, with the community united behind one of their own.
