Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will work tirelessly to secure victory for all its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to a large crowd in Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Omo-Agege said the party is fully committed to winning from the presidency down to the State House of Assembly seats.
He also confirmed that he has accepted the call from his supporters to contest again for the Delta Central Senatorial seat in 2027.
According to him, his decision was made after repeated appeals from his constituents and party faithful.
Omo-Agege thanked the people for the massive support shown to him, especially the large number of supporters from Delta Central, Delta North, and Delta South who welcomed him and accompanied him to his hometown.
Reflecting on his time in office, he highlighted several projects he facilitated, including the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, the Nigerian Defence Space School, and the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences in Kwale. He said these projects remain proof of his commitment to quality representation and development.
He also pointed to the Oil and Gas Industrial Park as a major project capable of boosting economic growth and providing stable electricity to communities such as Orogun, Abraka, and Eku.
On party unity, Omo-Agege urged APC members to welcome new members joining the party and avoid division. He stressed that unity will be key to achieving success in 2027.
The former Deputy Senate President also expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praising his economic reform policies.
He admitted that the reforms may be difficult at the moment but insisted they are necessary for long-term growth and improved resources for states.
He called on party members to return to their wards, organise themselves, and prepare seriously for the upcoming primaries, noting that the choice of candidates for 2027 lies in the hands of the people.
