The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, has taken steps to improve security in the state by building stronger partnerships with other agencies.
He led his management team on courtesy visits to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to promote better cooperation.
According to Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, the visits show the CP’s commitment to teamwork, especially as security challenges continue to grow in the state.
During the visit to the NSCDC, CP Oyeniyi, who was received by Commandant Chinedu Fabian Igbo, stressed the importance of sharing information, working together, and maintaining mutual respect.
He also praised the existing relationship between the police and NSCDC in protecting critical infrastructure.
At the FRSC office, the CP met with Sector Commander Charles Eyo Edem and commended the agency for its efforts in ensuring road safety.
He called for stronger collaboration, especially in managing highway security and emergency responses.
CP Oyeniyi emphasized that no single agency can handle security alone, noting that cooperation is key to keeping communities safe.
The visits are part of his broader plan to unite all security agencies in Delta State for better protection of lives and property.
