The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded plans for the formal declaration of Senator Ede Dafinone as the party’s candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District.
In a statement released Friday by State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the directive for the event was issued by the State Vice Chairman and Delta Central Chairman, Paulinus Akpeki.
The party has mobilized its full executive structure across the district, calling on members of the State Working Committee, State Executive Committee, Local Government chairmen and their executives from all eight LGAs, as well as ward chairmen and their teams, to attend.
The declaration is set to hold on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Onojeghuo stressed that the gathering is aimed at strengthening unity within the party and consolidating its political base in Delta Central.
He added that the event reflects the APC’s commitment to its “Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E. Agenda.”
Party leaders expressed confidence that the declaration will further boost APC’s momentum in the district ahead of upcoming political activities.
